Error #63 trying resize

Gateway GT5628. First and Only partition of drive, trying to resize from 10.4 to 12 gb in size, Listed as HPFS/NTFS and I try to resize and get Error #63. Any ideas?

EDIT: Using 1.87, CD, Set up for partition work.

run chkdsk /f on the partition.
still problems, try bootit bare metal. If BIOS mode still has problem try
BIOS (direct) mode.

No errors on partition. Don't have bare metal, have 1.87. No bandwidth out here to dl anything. What is the error?

Bumping this msg. Still getting Error 62 now. Have tried everything. What do Error 62 and Error 63 mean?
