Win 7 install modifies win xp boot (different partition)

Greetings - one of those days - I have a hard drive with 4 primary partitions. BIBM was installed in the first (8meg) and XP is installed in the third partition (#3 in boot.ini). All was working fine, BIBM would boot me into XP as expected after the programmed delay. Installed Windows 7 to the second partition (before XP and after BIBM). After win 7 installed, I had to re-activate BIBM from the CD (actually re-activating didn't fix it - had to re-install to the first partition again). BIBM has both XP and Win 7 listed in the boot menu, HOWEVER, when I try to boot XP, it takes me to the win 7 boot menu (which gives me the option of starting either 7 or the "older windows install" (XP)). If I select the "older windows" from that menu, then xp boots. The boot.ini file in the xp partition still has the correct parameters in it, but the front of the boot.ini file comments have clearly been modified by windows 7, so it did something to the partition. Searching with Google and looking in the BIBM FAQ didn't turn up the answer (obviously I'm using the wrong search criteria). What am I missing and what do I need to "fix" so BIBM can boot XP direct without having to go through the win7 boot menu (remember XP and Win7 are on different partitions on the same drive). The last partition is just data on a NTFS partition.

Thank you, a thousand thank you's :-) I had looked through the faq and not seen that, but that certainly describes what happened (I had set up dual boot on a different machine a while back but not run into this ... I suspect I had changed the XP partition type to hidden before doing the install)

UPDATE: That solved it :D Next time I'll remember to hide the XP partition !!
