Aligning FAT32 before converting to NTFS

Post by DrTeeth »

It did not work as expected here. I aligned a FAT32 partition, don't
know if it was unaligned or not beforehand, then converted to NTFS and
got a performance-sapping 512 bytes in each allocation unit. I empties
the partition and formatted it and got 4096 allocation units as
desired.
