I am newbe and i have been reading for days now trying to figure out how to do what i need to do and i am more confused now then ever. i have a toughbook that has windows 7 on it now and i want to put in my 1tb hd into it and load up 4 or 5 4 if its simpler partions on it. i want none of them to see the other. i want to also have a partion thats just used for disk/data storeage that all the partions must see this one though. as there will be program the same program on each partion windows 7 install that will need to see thet storage partion. like i said they cant see each other cause theres programs that will conflict but they all need to see the storage partion. they all need to b c; drive as well. the hard drive i want to install is empty. i can clone it stick it in and go from there i can stick it in and go from there etc etc. its whats going to be better for me, menaing the simplest way. i have read so much and i am so so confused. copy boot, dleta boot cmd this and that move these file deleat these files copy them paste them this works for xp not vista for vista not w7....im so so lost. i could copy the windows 7 install i have right now as its just fresh inmstall right now and put it oneach partions then go make the changes i need and insatll the other programs on each etc etc from there if that would work. or i could do clean install each time, again im lost. so simple guidance would be greatly welcomed. i hate to ask help on what im sure so so many say is so so easy but i thought it was simple as install your software answer few questions and do it again for each partion/iunstall i was making then done....dont seem that simple......so please a good windows 7 start to finish video maybe someone elses work....a windows 7 how to maybe someones elese wrtie up if need be...anything to guide me...between the manaual and the videos and posts im more lost now then if i would have just jumped in....thanks so much....

What you're wanting to do is a bit beyond the 'easy' level.

I'd suggest BootIt Bare Metal by Terabyte Products......

...and get their featured 'Bundle' as it's a great value.

Video's on what you want to do are here......

Their online support forum is here....

Do one Win7 installation using the instructions in the video. Once you understand that setup the others will be easy.

Uhaulkid,

> maybe i missed something?

Not you....me.
I visit a bunch of forums, and on this I forget you'd posted
here.....my bad:-(

Watch those videos several times, then review the included Help file,
and you'll get the hang of it.

Like Brian said, do one and others will be easier.

you could install one via the video, then just make copies for the others.
