Truecrypt

Post by RFSndrs »

Has anyone tried to encrypt an OS drive using Truecrypt with BBM (or BING) installed? If so, is there a knowledge base article saying how to do it?
I keep on running into a stop when I say BBM is loaded in the MBR, which I believe it is.
I am trying this on my laptop with BBM, Win7, and Win8 installed on a 120GB SSD. Primaries are limited and only 3 partitions exist on this drive. I have a secondary 750GB drive (SATA) with my data and images on it. I have an 8 MB free spot on the secondary drive where I could install BBM, if necessary.

Thanks,
Bob S

you'd want to use container encryption or encryption that loads on the
volume, not entire drive or that which requires it before loading. If your
BIOS supports it, you can purchase a drive that supports the ATA
specification for encryption (built into the drive) and then you don't have
to worry about any compatibility issues.
