I use Bootnow.
After upgrading from BING, will Bare Metal automatically assume correct Bootnow settings, or after upgrading must Bootnow setting be manually activated?
thanks

No problems with my BIBM. BootNow continued to work as before. Are you using BootNow ver 1.30a?

But if one wants to use BootNow to do something like create an image and reboot Windows, it's worth noting that BIBM doesn't have anything like the image sets of BING. Rather than specify an image set to BootNow, one must create and specify a BIBM script.

Is there a sample script for this? That helps to reduce the learning curve.

now_john,

See readme.txt in the BootNow folder. Also...

To create your script, open Disk Imaging in BIBM, run through the choices until you get to the Options screen. Click Show Command, Save to File, OK. OK. In the name field add a tbs extension. eg name it john.tbs then click OK.

You can run the script from the Run icon on the BIBM desktop or run it from BootNow in Windows. You can run it from Scripting too.

Using version 1.20
Can not find BootNow among the Free software products.
Has BootNow been withdrawn from the website?

It's on the BIBM downloads page.

Thank you, Brian K.
I use bootnow, but didn't know that it could start a script. How does it do that?

I run the following BotNow command:

"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\BootNow\BOOTNOW.EXE" Windows 7/run=Daily.tbs

Windows 7 is the boot item to be booted after the script Daily.tbs runs.

Thanks Bob. Could you point out the source for the info? I would like to read more unless that is all there is. I am guessing that bootnow only runs scripts with BIBM with scripting installed, and it wouldn't work with BING.
