Hi Brian,

I just added 2 more pics to that folder including that shows a "legacy bios" option they have. Is that the same as the "CSM" you mentioned?

No, that's not CSM. But close.

Hi,

TBU support helped me to get an IFL CD burned and I was able to boot to that and run the chgdtype script to convert the GPT partitions to MBR/EMBR.

Then I was able to get BIBM installed.

Now I need to figure out how to get the Win10 and WinRE moved to the SSD and get them booting off of the SSD.

Jim,

Excellent. I still need this info and we'll be ready to start...

Also, start IFW, Backup, on the "Select the hard drive or
partitions to backup" window, select the Win10 line and click
Information. What is the GiB Used, GiB Free and GiB to Restore?

Can you post a screenshot of your partitions on the Hard drive and SSD? Now that the HD is no longer GPT.

Jim,

The reason for checking "GiB to Restore" is to see whether the OS sectors will fit on the SSD. Sectors in use is not the same as GiB in use.

I think I'm good now.

Once that chgdtype was run and converted to MBR, now BIBM works pretty much like BING used to.

I uploaded 3 more pics, showing the SSD and the hard drive, plus my boot menu.

- The conversion got rid of the 100MB partition, so I shrank the original Win10 partition to 100GB, then slid it up, and then imaged it, then
- I copied the Win10 partition to the SSD
- I deleted the Win10 partition from the hard drive and made a data partition

Now, it boots SUPER fast :)!!

Thanks (and thanks also to TBU support guy)!

Jim

Jim, nice work and thanks for the feedback.

Interesting, Win10 is booting on HD1 without the Swap option.

Hi,

Yes, I was wondering about that (not needing the swap option checked) myself, but it just worked. Maybe if the TBU guy can explain.
