Rewrite Master Boot Record

What is the safest way to rewrite the master boot record on a Windows 7 computer to make sure that all vestiges of the rootkit.boot.cidox.b are eliminated? (TDSSkiller removed the rootkit and now claims that the drive is clean.) Is it as simple as clicking "Win7 MBR"? The reason I'm asking is that I've seen many warnings about tinkering with the MBR.

You could do that (make sure to click "Apply" afterwards). The "bootrec" program on the Windows 7 Repair Disc (or any WinPE-based disc) could also be used: bootrec /fixmbr (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392).

Thanks. BIBM seems a lot easier.
