USB mouse not working in latest version

I know this issue has occurred before for some people, but that was mainly with ASUS boards.

I have an EVGA X58 FTW3 motherboard and a Razor DeathAdder 3500dpi mouse and the mouse isn't working in BIBM latest version. The mouse works fine in other non-Windows programsso I can't see it being a problem with the motherboard/mouse. I have enabled the USB Legacy Mouse Support option in the BIOS and tried messing around with some of the USB settings in the BIOS to no avail.

Please help! Using the KB to navigate is a pita.

Have you tried a cheap mouse? $5 one. It may work.

nope, but the real question is why my Razor mouse doesnt work with BIBM when it works fine with other types of programs. Must be something wrong with BIBM...

The support for the mouse comes from your BIOS. If it doesn't work
correctly with the mouse then BIBM won't either. BIBM just gets reports
from the BIOS on mouse movement. If you boot in to Linux or Windows which
have native USB HID support (mouse for example) then you're not relying on
the BIOS.

thanks for the reply and clearing things up. I'll have to see if my BIOS is supposed to support USB mouse or not.

Most newer non-UEFI systems also support USB mice. However, as with UEFI, some work better than others and some still have problems with certain models.

ok thanks again for the info. I don't think my BIOS supports a USB mouse since I've never been able to use the mouse in the BIOS. So I guess that's also why it doesn't work in BIBM.
