Set next boot from within the OS

Is there a way to control (preset) the next boot up, from the OS you are currently using?
I would be very useable when you work with remote access and have no way to control the boot manager.

You can use BootNow (available on the BIBM download page) to boot into an OS listed in the BIBM boot menu.
