How to Install LILO to the Root Partition After Installing Linux

Sign on as root.
Change the "boot=" section of the "/etc/lilo.conf" file to be the same as the "root=" section of the same file.
If the boot partition is above 8 GB, be sure to add "lba32" to "/etc/lilo.conf". If adding "lba32" and "linear" exists, remove "linear".
Type lilo and press Enter. It should indicate that it was added.
